Daniel Qi '25 Wins "Student of the Week" Online Poll

Archmere junior Daniel Qi has been named the first "Delaware Student of the Week" by an online poll. Similar to the long-running "athlete-of-the-week" feature that honors athletic achievement alongside reader voting, Delaware Online/The News Journal is honoring a "Delaware Student of the Week" across high schools. The award highlights academic work, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, and perseverance -important qualities that make up the lives of young scholars.
Daniel was nominated along with four other high school students in the area, and the entry published on Delaware Online. All week, the community was able to vote for a student winner. Daniel received 70% of the votes and was announced the winner on Monday, September 30th.

Daniel's nomination entry read as follows:

An "exceptional violinist" is one way to put it. This junior has performed with symphony orchestras and serves as first violinist for the Helena Raskob Arts Institute String Ensemble. Daniel was awarded the first chair, while also serving as concertmaster, when chosen to perform with the Delaware All-State Orchestra. The top math student has performed internationally, too, participating in a Carnegie Hall youth orchestra and toured with Temple Music Prep's Youth Chamber Orchestra.

Congratulations to Daniel Qi!
