Our Mission
Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, respect, zeal, reverence, and wisdom. Nurturing body and soul, mind and heart, Archmere focuses on the whole person through academic excellence, faith reflection, social development, and service to others. Inspired by its heritage, Archmere cultivates empathetic leaders- young men and women prepared for every good work.

Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program. The academic disciplines foster critical thinking skills, strengthen analytical reasoning, and foster intellectual creativity through each department. Parents and caregivers choose Archmere for their children because choosing our door opens others. Students choose Archmere because of the opportunities available to them.
We strive to inspire students to challenge themselves, think critically, and ultimately reach their greatest potential. Archmere's Winter Musical "the Drowsy Chaperone" Receives Acclaim
Read MoreThe Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers such as The Washington Post, Cincinnati Enquirer, Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Cappies program brought over 40 students from the Greater Philadelphia area to Archmere this past weekend to review the winter musical production, “The Drowsy Chaperone”. -
Swim Team Competes at DIAA State Championship Meet
Read MoreThe Archmere Swim Team competed in the DIAA Swimming & Diving Championship Finals on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The State Preliminaries were held during the week, with Finals taking place all day Saturday at the University of Delaware. The State Championship Meet is a qualifying meet, and sixteen members of the Archmere team competed in the Prelims, at which several members earned a spot in Finals. In addition, Archmere freshman Elizabeth Guo was chosen to sing the National Anthem at the boys’ preliminaries.
