Math League Teams Earn Second in State Invitational
On Wednesday, March 26, two teams of Archmere students competed at the State Math Meet Invitational, held in Dover. In order to qualify for the State Meet, Archmere's Math League teams competed in 4 regular season meets from October to February this year, earning excellent results. At the Dover State Meet, the 9th grade A team and the 10th-12th grade A team placed second in the state overall!
For the 9th grade competition, Kevin Gu earned the only perfect score in the state, earning him 1st place overall. Allison Qu was also a top performer earning a 4th place finish. Michelle Innasimuthu, Wika Sun, and Jessica Li were the other members of the 9th grade Archmere A team contributing to their success.
In the 10th - 12th grade state competition, Archmere had four mathletes earn a perfect score in the individual competition. Congratulations to Kabir Goyal, Kevin Xiao, Amy Yin, and Zora Zhang. After the extra rounds finished, Kabir placed first in the state and Kevin earned second! In addition to Kabir and Kevin, Daniel Qi, Kathrine Wang, and Zora Zhang rounded out this successful 10th - 12th grade Archmere A team.
