Four Archmere Art Students Featured in Delaware Department of Education's Youth Art Month Exhibition
Youth Art Month is an annual observance each year to emphasize the value of art and art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs. It is observed in March, administered by the Council for Art Education (CFAE), with thousands of American schools participating. Often, local art museums and civic organizations are involved in promoting the work. The 2024/2025 theme is “Healing Through Color”.
Youth Art Month not only encourages support for quality school art programs, it promotes art material safety. The program provides a medium for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences unlike any other curriculum subjects, including:
Problem solving
Creativity
Observation
Communication
The work of four Archmere artists: CC Kittila '25 and Chisom Emedoh ’27, Emma Roberts '28 and Karina Ong '27, is now on view in an exhibition at the Delaware Department of Education at Townsend Building in Dover, Delaware. Sponsored by the Delaware Art Education Association (DAEA), the exhibit will be on display for Youth Art Month and March for the Arts, now through the end of the summer, 2025.
