Archmere Welcomes Students From Senlis, France

From February 8th-21st, Archmere hosted 13 students and 2 teachers from our sister school, Lycée Saint Vincent, in Senlis, France, as part of Archmere’s long standing French exchange. Archmere host families graciously opened their homes, and the French students and teachers not only spent time on campus, but enjoyed outings to several area favorites, as well as visits to Philadelphia, the University of Delaware, and NYC.
This exchange was created in 2009 by longtime Archmere faculty member Mrs. Nancy Cooper. Since then, Archmere students have been participating in this enriching linguistic and cultural exchange on a bi-annual basis.  Next year, Archmere students will travel to Senlis, France in June 2026. Archmere students will get a chance to stay with host families from Lycée Saint Vincent, experience school life in France, as well as travel to Paris, Normandy and Giverny. The reciprocity of this program not only reinforces the learning opportunities for our students and the larger Archmere community, but also enhances and strengthens the relationship between the students themselves.

On behalf of the World Languages and Cultures Department, we would like to thank all of the host families for opening their homes and their hearts to our French visitors.  À bientôt!!

Families, stay tuned for France 2026 details from Archmere French teachers!
