Jace Walker '25 Wins Delaware Online "Student of the Week"
Archmere senior Jace Walker has been named the "Delaware Student of the Week" by an online poll. Similar to the long-running "athlete-of-the-week" feature that honors athletic achievement alongside reader voting, Delaware Online/The News Journal is honoring a "Delaware Student of the Week" across high schools. The award highlights academic work, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, and perseverance -important qualities that make up the lives of young scholars.
Jace was nominated along with four other high school students in the area, and the entry published on Delaware Online. She was announced the winner on Saturday, December 7th.
Jace's nomination entry read as follows:
"This senior's nominator called her outstanding both academically and artistically. The president of the National Art Honor Society helped to lead a collaborative mural project with the residents of the Mary Campbell Center. She was also selected to lead a national webinar with 3B Collective – a design firm that has clients such as Disney and Netflix – just last year. If that's not enough, she has also been recognized with a rare National Scholastic Art Medal, among other awards."
