Danielle Higbee ‘25 Signs to Play Golf at Augusta University

Danielle Higbee, senior at Archmere Academy, signed her National Letter of Intent to join Augusta University’s Golf Team on November 14, 2024. Located in Augusta, Georgia, Augusta University competes in high profile tournaments in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level.
Danielle is an accomplished student-athlete with a strong academic record, achieving cum laude honors each year from freshman through junior year and maintaining a 3.46 GPA. A standout on the golf course, Danielle is a two-time First Team All-State honoree (2023 and 2024), a two-time First Team All-State Tournament Team selection (2023 and 2024), and a 2022 Second Team All-State player. In May 2024, Danielle played in the prestigious USGA Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship in San Antonio, Texas, and just weeks later, led Archmere Academy to its first-ever Delaware State Golf Championship. 

Danielle is also a two-time Diamond State Athletic Conference Individual Champion (2022 and 2023) and has claimed multiple tournament victories, including the Peggy Kirk Bell National Middle Atlantic Girls Classic in Reston, VA, and three Hurricane Junior Golf events this year. Additionally, Danielle has performed exceptionally well in some of the top tournaments in the country, showcasing a high level of competitiveness and skill on a national stage.

Danielle has been playing competitive golf since the summer of 2021 and practices regularly at the DuPont Country Club. She receives instruction at the Sea Island Golf Performance Center in Georgia. She owes a great deal of her success to coaches John Dunigan, Brian Bryson and Ryan Smith. Danielle remains undecided on her choice of major, keeping her academic options open as she looks forward to exploring new areas of interest.
