Football Team Defeats Odessa on the Road

After a loss to Howard last weekend, the Archmere football team claimed a resounding 35-7 win over the Odessa Ducks on the road on Friday, November 1st. The high-scoring effort was their fourth straight win on the road. This season, the team's offensive unit has averaged 28.2 points per game this season. The Auks have one more regular season game on Saturday against Wilmington Friends before entering playoffs.
The Archmere victory was a true team effort, the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from junior Michael Donovan who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. On defense he made two total tackles and defended two passes. Senior Jack Bradley was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only 9 carries. Archmere's defense stepped up as well; junior Blaise Bastian-Pastore sacked the Odessa quarterback 3 times.

  • Jack Bradley '25 had 67 yards and a TD on 9 carries. He also had 22 yards receiving, and recorded a sack on defense.
  • Blaise Bastian-Pastore '26 had 5 tackles and 3 sacks
  • Mike Donovan '26 scored 2 TDs and had 46 yards on 6 carries  
  • Christian Wittmeyer '25 had 55 yards on 7 carries
  • Johnny Orsini '26 threw for 2 TDs on 5-8 passing
  • Frankie Morda '27 had 4 tackles and a sack
  • Ryan Hagenberg '26 had 6 tackles, including 3 for loss, and scored a rushing TD
  • Noah Blessington '26 had 7 tackles and 3 tackles for loss
On Saturday, November 9th, the football team will travel to Wilmington Friends to take on the Quakers at 1:00pm.
