Creative Technology & Entrepreneurship in AP3D Design Class

Rebranded as the Art & Design Department in 2022 to better represent the vast array of career-oriented and design-based electives offered, students in Archmere's program regularly have the opportunity to apply their creative problem solving to design real world solutions for products and manufactured objects.
To introduce students to rapid prototyping that would be encountered in a real-world design and manufacturing setting, AP3D Students have been exploring this concept with the Art & Design department's Makerbot 3D printer. Students have designed original furniture design concepts, functional objects and even adaptive aids for those who use crutches utilizing this exciting technology.
