Marina Mahon '25 Signs To Play Soccer At Quinnipiac University
Archmere senior Marina Mahon signed her National Letter of Intent to join Quinnipiac University’s Soccer Team on November 14, 2024. Quinnipiac University is a Division 1 athletic program located in Hamden, CT.
Marina began playing recreational soccer at a young age before making the move to club. Even early on, her quick speed around defenders or chasing down forwards to break up a play was evident. Marina joined Penn Fusion, a competitive travel club in West Chester PA, at 10 years old and has been playing on their top team (ECNL) as an outside back throughout her soccer career.
As a sophomore at Archmere, Marina was named to the DIAA's Division 1 First Team All-State and First Team All-Conference teams. She was also part of the Archmere girls soccer state title team that year, contributing to two goals that helped secure the State Championship win over St. Mark's. Last spring in her junior year, Marina was named the Conference Player of the Year and earned her second straight First Team All-State and First Team All-Conference recognitions. She was also named to Delaware's Top 11 players, ranking 7th in the state.
In addition to soccer, Marina commits herself to Auk Ambassadors for Archmere Admissions and the Auks for Earth club in school. She is a four year member of the cross country team, and this year was named Captain.
Marina will continue her collegiate career at the DI level at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT and will look to make an impact as part of this competitive team. She plans to major in Health Sciences. Go Bobcats!
