Archmere Academy Commencement Exercises

Archmere Academy welcomed 120 alumni into its ranks during Commencement ceremonies on June 2nd in the Performing Arts Center. The Baccalaureate Liturgy & Commencement Exercises were also live streamed for friends and family to view on the Archmere YouTube Channel.
Our Auks have traded their green and white to become Big Red, Royals, The Crimson and Crimson Tide, Blue Hens and Blue Jays, Scarlett Knights, Orange, and the tsunami-like Green Wave. We have new Rams at Rhode Island, Jefferson, and West Chester. And even Catamounts, Commodores, Canoneers, and Colonels. The Class of 2024 is full of explorers with many confident to set their own course. This year’s graduates will be attending colleges in 22 different states, and the District of Columbia. Twenty-five are enrolling at schools no other Archmere graduate presently attends. And at a time when the average undergraduate student in the United States travels just over 100 miles from home to attend college, these Auks, traveling to places from Miami to Medford, Bloomsburg to Boulder, and Williamsburg to West Lafayette, will enroll at universities an average of 345 miles from Archmere.

The 120 members of the Class of 2024 will matriculate at 80 different colleges and universities. Rewards and recognitions have come their way as well; as a group they have been rightfully and collectively recognized by colleges, universities and outside groups with over $19.5 million in Scholarships and Grants.

Class of 2024 Valedictorian is Sophia Chen, and the Salutatorian, Alicia Chu. Sophia will be attending The University of Pennsylvania to study Chemical Engineering, and Alicia is headed to Harvard University + New England Conservatory to study Economics and pursue her Masters of Music.

Noah Marino received the Archmere Medal, the school’s most prestigious award, which is given to the senior whom the faculty believes best exemplifies the ideals and values of Archmere. The Activity Medal, the second-highest honor, went to Alex Bogey. The Activity Medal recognizes service and participation.

Miles Kempski was recognized for excellence in boys athletics, and Lucy Oliver won the award for girls athletics.
