Winning entry example by Benjamin Yi:I see the light grow further. Solar winds push me aloft and away from my old home into the interminable void of space. I have been alive for about five billion years. I don’t know for certain; my memory has degraded so much over the ages. I can’t eat, sleep, or breathe, yet I hunger, tire, and choke. I am only allowed to think. I know some accursed demon is taunting me, making me suffer eternally. Slowly falling into the unending darkness, I pray for death, but I know it will never come.
