Tennis Team Sends Every Player to Third Round of State Tournament

Last week the DIAA Tennis Committee finalized the seeding and selections for the 2024 Boys and Girls Tennis Championships. There are 5 different draws for girls and 5 draws for boys (1^st Singles, 2^nd, Singles, 3^rd Singles, 1^st Doubles, 2^nd Doubles). Due to inclement weather on Saturday, opening rounds took place on Monday, May 20^th , hosted at seven DIAA Member High Schools (St. Andrews, Middletown, Odessa, Appoquinimink, Caesar Rodney, Dover and Smyrna). Every player on both the Archmere boys and girls team has advanced to the third round, held on Tuesday, May 21.

Varsity Girls Tennis:

- First Singles - Ella Strohmaier - 6-0, 6-0

- Second Singles - Brianna Yang - 6-0, 6-0

- Third Singles - Susan Shipley - 6-0, 6-0

- First Doubles - Valentina Ramos / Rebecca Wang - 6-1, 6-0

- Second Doubles - Emily Shipley / Sophia Chen - 6-1, 6-1

Varsity Boys Tennis:

- First Singles - Andy Zhu - 6-0, 6-0

- Second Singles - Charlie Rittereiser - 6-3, 6-0

- Third Singles - Andres Ramos - 6-1, 6-0

- First Doubles - Benjamin Li / Gavin Nguyen - 6-1, 6-0

- Second Doubles - Anthony DeCamp / Patrick McGuinness - 6-2, 6-3
