Students Participate in Second Annual World Language Showcase

Spanish teachers Sandra Vieyra and Janna Scheflen accompanied twenty-eight Archmere students to compete in the DECTFL World Language Showcase at the University of Delaware on Saturday, March 16. The competition is organized by the Delaware Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages to give students an opportunity to use and show off their language skills while experiencing French, Italian and Spanish/Hispanic culture through dance, athletic, music and artistic activities.
Spanish 1 students Colleen Burke, Tanisha Khandelwal, and Ninaad Vidwans won first place in Novice Spanish Storytelling and Novice Spanish Escape Room. 

Leo Bergez came in 1st in Intermediate French Storytelling and Joey Fredericks 1st in Advanced French Storytelling; Michael Liu 1st for Intermediate French Culture Presentation and Camilo Alvarez 1st for Advanced French Culture Presentation; Tanisha Khandelwal and Paige Deely won 2nd and 3rd place in Spanish Novice Culture Presentation.

Sylv Chen won first place in Advanced French Language of Proficiency and Leo Bergez first place in Advanced Photo Trivia.
