Archmere Rugby Makes Headlines With Another Tournament Win

One week after claiming a 26-5 victory over Salesianum for the Delaware High School Sevens State Championship title, the Archmere Rugby team once again claimed gold at the Subaru Sevens High School Tournament on Saturday, May 16. Subaru Sevens is a regional tournament played at Alapocas Run State Park, featuring some of the top ranked rugby teams from along the Eastern seaboard. After defeating La Salle 19-15, Salesianum's 2nd team 24-0, and St. John's College HS 26-5, the Auks went on to defeat Media 29-12 in the semi's and Salesianum’s 1st team 26-19 in an exciting overtime final match. 

The team captains are juniors Noah Niumataiwalu, a flyhalf/scrumhalf, and Nick Udovich, a center in 15s and a forward in 7s.
