The Passing of Father Michael T. Collins, O.Praem '68 (6/15/1950 - 1/22/15)

Long-time teacher, administrator, and mentor, Father Michael Collins, O.Praem ’68 passed away suddenly early this morning at Daylesford Abbey.  Ordained in 1978, Father Collins came back to Archmere in 1972 and served the school community for more than five decades as a history and religion teacher, Assistant Athletic Director, Director of Student Life and Headmaster. Father Collins made a tremendous impact on the lives of hundreds of Auks as a priest, teacher, mentor and friend.

Father Collins was dedicated to Archmere and created many wonderful friendships over the years.  He will most certainly be missed by the members of the Archmere and Daylesford communities. Whether at the Abbey or at an Archmere event, he was always smiling and welcoming, happy to greet you and be present with you.  Please keep Father, his family, and the Daylesford Abbey community in your prayers.
