Softball Celebrates Senior Day with Victory over Ursuline

On Friday, May 3rd Archmere senior softball players Ruby Merenda and Isabelle Ferris were honored at the game against Ursuline Academy. The Auks scored three times in the first inning, and they kept the bats swinging on their way to a 9-3 win at home.
Game highlights included sophomore Meredith Finger earning her 6th win of the season, allowing 5 hits and pitching 6 shutout innings. Junior Carly Polsky lead the Auks offensively going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 runs scored, while junior Maya Grande drove in 3 runs. Isabelle Ferris and Ruby Merenda each added a double.  

Next on the schedule: The team travels to Midway Softball Complex on Tuesday, May 7th to take on Newark Charter School.
